Creative funding
Whether you're an artist, a maker, a writer, a musician, or someone with a creative idea for your community, Arts Council England funding could help you make it happen. You don't need to be an organisation, and you don't need to have applied before.
UK Grant Writer is a team of independent grant writers who help people turn creative ideas into clear, strong funding applications.

People coming together around a shared creative idea
Never applied for funding before? That's fine. We'll guide you through it.
Arts Council funding covers combined arts, dance, libraries, literature, museums, music, theatre and visual arts. Not sure if your idea fits? Just ask.
£1,000–£100,000, open all year round
For creative projects with a public outcome: making new work, running workshops, putting on events, exhibitions, performances, recordings or publications. Individuals, groups and organisations can all apply.
Up to £12,000, for individual creative practitioners
Funds time and space to develop as an artist, through research, new collaborations, mentoring, training or testing new ideas. DYCP opens in limited application rounds during the year rather than staying open all year. Get in touch early to prepare for the next round.
Tell us your idea. We'll give you an honest view on which fund fits, or whether it's ready yet.
We work with you on what you're asking for, who it's for and why now.
We write a full draft in your voice, and build your budget.
You read, change and approve everything. The application is yours, and you submit it yourself.
Partnership scheme
Our partnership scheme applies to Arts Council England Project Grant applications only. Eligible applications can be written for up to 70% less than our standard fee. This applies when our partner company, Bright Box Solutions, joins your project as a paid delivery partner, providing creative and digital support such as documentaries, websites, evaluation and much more.
It's entirely your choice. We'll only suggest it where it genuinely strengthens your project, and Bright Box's role and fees are always set out clearly before anything is submitted. If you'd rather not include Bright Box, we can still write your application at our standard fee.
Subject to eligibility. Ask about it on your free call. The writing fee is paid by you, not from the grant, as Arts Council doesn't fund costs from before its decision. No one can guarantee funding.
Whether your project is creative or not, email hello@ukgrantwriter.com with a little about you and your idea, or use the form below, and we'll get back to you within 2 working days.
